THE LORD'S PASSOVER

Numbers 28:16 And in the fourteenth day of the first month is the passover of the LORD.

The Passover is one of the most captivating events to take place in human history. Its when God save the Israelites his chosen people from the hard and vigorous bondage under the cruel hands of the Egyptians. Which ultimately fulfilled a prophecy given to Abram. Genesis 15 :13. And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; 14. And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance. This great deliverance not only established Israel as a Nation but solidified us as his chosen people.

THE EGYPTIANS - MIZRAIM
The Egyptians are one of the Sons of Ham known as Mizraim in the Bible Genesis 50:11. And when the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, saw the mourning in the floor of Atad, they said, This is a grievous mourning to the Egyptians: wherefore the name of it was called Abel-Mizraim, which is beyond Jordan. As you read in our History they wern't always trying to oppress. When Joseph was in the land of Ham ( Egypt ) he was lifted up to a high position. The Most High showed him dreams and meanings of dreams Which allowed him to rise from the jails of Egypt to second in command.

THE FEAR AND PLOT TO DESTORY
Exodus 1:5. And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already. 7. And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.  as the fear sets in the plot to destroy The Israelites developed and in comes a new king.  Exodus 1:8. Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. 9. And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we: 10. Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land. Exodus 1:11. Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.

Exodus 12:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
2. This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
3. Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
4. And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. This is a
Similitude of Christ John 1:29. The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. 5. Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

Passover is a seasonal Feast Day its kept in Spring
Because of this it may be necessary in some years to add a month to spring forward.

Exo 13:10. Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.

Exodus 23:15. Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

Some Believe that we no longer must keep the Passover because of Christ. This ideology couldn't be further from the truth

We must Follow his steps

1 Peter 2:21. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

We understand also by the words of the apostle Paul where he urges us in 1Cor 5:7. Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us: 8. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Our Lord and Savior Kept this Feast and so should we in the honor and faith which was given to us.

Mark 14:12
And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the Passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the Passover? 13. And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.
14. And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the Passover with my disciples?
