The origin of marriage

 

Genesis 2:18- And the Lord God said, it is not good that the man should be alone: I will make him an help meet for him
 

Genesis 2:21- And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept; and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in stead thereof.
22 And the rib which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, & brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, this is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of man.

 

From the beginning the scriptures show how spiritual marriage is and how The Most High established it. You have to understand that your wife was made just for you, given by the creator of all things.
 

Matthew 19:6- Wherefore they are no more twaine, but one flesh(bone of my bones). What therefore God hath joined together(Genesis2:22), let not man put asunder.

 

Proverbs 18:22-Who so findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favor of the Lord.

 

The Order of Marriage

 

Ephesians 5:23- For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the Church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Within everything The Most High does there is order, even in marriage. This may be contrary to your belief, but according to thus saith the Lord God the man is given the leadership in the marriage. Though this is in the New Testament it has been the same from the beginning

Genesis 3:16- Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception. In sorrow thou shalt bring forth children: and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee

 

Though the man has been given this role in marriage The Most High has given the man and woman guidelines on how they must conduct themselves in marriage
 

The Relationship

 

1Peter 3:5- For even after this manner in the old time, the holy women also who trusted in god adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands.
6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him Lord, whose daughters ye are as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.
 

Proverbs 31:26- She openeth her mouth with wisdome; and in her tongue is the law of kindness
Ecclesiasticus 26:15- A shamefaced(humble) and faithfull woman is a double grace, and her continent mind cannot be valued.(proverbs 31:10)

Ecclesiasticus 26:25- A shameless woman(not humble) shall be counted as a dog: but she that is shamefaced will fear the lord.
26- A woman that honoreth her husband, shall be judged wise of all: but she that dishonoreth him in her pride(not humble), shall be counted ungodly of all.
Ecclesiasticus 4:30- Be not as a lion in thy house, nor frantic among thy servants

 

Proverbs 11:29- He that troubleth his own house shall inherite the wind
So the man shouldnt be full of rage and wrath in his house, this will destroy his household(1Corinthians 14:33).

Colossians 3:19- Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them

The scriptures command you to deal with your wife in righteousness(Deuteronomy 6:25)
1Peter 3:7- Likewise ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge(Malachi 2:7)
 

1Peter 3:9- Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrarywise blessing knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherite a blessing

Ruling your tongue is very important in marriage. Arguments can escalate very fast that's why we must be wise
 
Proverbs 15:1- A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
2 The tongue of the wise, useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools pour out foolishness

We have to understand, as Israelites we are in this walk together and we should exhort one another unto good works

​Ecclesiasticus 4:9- Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor.
10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

 

Matthew 7:24- Therefore, whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house: and it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock.

 

 1Corinthians 10:4- and did all drink the same spiritual drink; for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
Remember the man is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church, therefore, when dealing with marriage let Christ be the example(1Peter 2:21).

 

 Ephesians 5:25- Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.
 Ephesians 5:27- That he might present it to himself a glorious Church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such thing: but that it be holy and without blemish(sin).
28 So men ought to love their wives, as their own bodies: he that loveth his wife, loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh: but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the Church.
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
 Ephesians  5:31- This is  great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the Church.

 

Now for the Israelite woman you should now understand how special and spiritual your role is in the marriage. Seeing how you represent the Nation of Israel in righteousness being presented to Christ to inherit the kingdom of heaven with everlasting life.
