After ruling Scotland for 36 years he was the first to rule over both Scotland and England in 1603

The name "England" is derived from the Old English name Englaland, which means"land of the Angles". The Angles were one of the Germanic tribes that settled in Great Britain during the Early Middle Ages.

6. King James had many enemies the Roman Catholics attempted to assassinate King James in 1605 in what is known as the Gunpowder Plot. 
Which brings us into the time period of the translation of the Holy scriptures to what we know today as The King James Version Bible. 

Time Period of Translation: 6years from 1604-1611

King James Died on Sunday, March 27, 1625 at the age of 59, after having caught a tertain ague that led to a stroke.

 After King James’s death Sir Anthony Weldon (1583–1648) was an English 17th Century courtier and politician. He is also the purported author of The Court and Character of King James I. Anthony Weldon, had to be excluded from the court. Weldon swore vengeance. It was not until 1650, twenty-five years after the death of King James that Weldon saw his chance. He wrote a paper calling James a homosexual.

The Basilikon Doron is a book of advice to his young son.It was originally printed privately in 1599 in edition of only seven copies.

Some advice he wrote his son was “there some horrible crimes that ye are bound in conscience never to forgive, such as witchcraft, willfull murder, incest (especially within the degrees of consanguinity),sodom. poisoning, and false coin.”

Also if King James was gay would we find these scriptures in the bible we read today? just to name a few.
