Leviticus 23:34

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the fest of tabernacles for seven days uno the Lord

The Feast of Tabernacles

January 03, 2023

The Feast of Tabernacles is held on fifteenth day of the seventh month, five days after the Day of Atonement(Also referred to as the Feast of Ingathering Exodus23:16).  One of the Three Feasts where all the males of Israel were commanded to come to Jerusalem to celebrate(Deut16:16).  It is a commemoration or remembrance of when the Israelites were in the wilderness after Moses led them out from the Egyptian captivity.  Made with the boughs of trees, and the branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook.  The first and last days during the Feast are counted as Sabbaths.

Understanding Tabernacles

Leviticus23:33 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord

35 On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

36 Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.

39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.

40 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days.

41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month

42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths

Nehemiah8:14 And they found written in the law which the Lord had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:

15 And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written.

16 So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.

17 And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.

18 Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.

When the time comes to celebrate the Feast, we as Israelites do leave our homes and sleep outside in tents to try and keep the custom to the best of our ability

The Book of Numbers29:12-38 gives the breakdown of each day and how and what sacrifices were done during the Festive Week.  According to the Old Testament these sacrifices must to take place in the order it was given.  Although we MUST keep the feast, the scriptures let us know that Christ was our last sacrifice so we no longer have to offer animal sacrifices to the Lord during that week.

Spiritual Sacrifices

May 28, 2023

Though the Feast of Tabernacles lasted 7 days and specific instructions were given how the order of sacrifices must take place, with the understanding of The Messiah we are no longer required to sacrifice like we did in the Old Testament...

Hebrews10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Hosea6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

1Peter2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Ecclesiasticus35:1 He that keepeth the law bringeth offerings enough: he that taketh heed to the commandment offereth a peace offering.

Israelite By Blood

January 03, 2023

The Israelites history is so unique, so special, and glorious...the nations try and cleave to our customs and steal our heritage.  The scriptures expressly forbids this, in that only those that are Israelites by blood can partake in this Feast Day.

Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwelling booths.

Heaken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb.
